The Policy, a UIP-managed community, follows the provisions set forth by the Fair Housing and Equal Housing Opportunity laws as well as the D.C. Human Rights Act and amendments stating that it is an unlawful discriminatory practice to deny, directly or indirectly, any individuals the full and equal enjoyment of housing, including the rental of a dwelling, services, facilities, and privileges, based on the source of income of the individual. All qualifying criteria used by UIP was developed with EHO and DCHRA in mind and is applied equally to all applicants.
